COMMUNITY CALENDAR POLICY
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the City of Allen Community Calendar is maintained as a non-public forum for the exclusive purpose of providing events and scheduling information of general public interest.
The Community Calendar is intended to include events that are open to the general public and support the concept of community involvement in Allen. Regional events throughout CollinCounty that are open to the public may also be included on the calendar.
Any community-based non-profit, educational, or governmental organization may submit an event to be included on the Community Calendar. Postings shall be limited to non-commercial activities. “Community-based organization” is defined as any organization whose primary mission statement serves, or whose primary service area is within, the City of Allen.
Postings will be placed on the calendar on a first-come, first-served basis. The City of Allen will not be responsible for posting conflicts. The City reserves the right to select which events are included and the right to modify the text if necessary as determined by the City Secretary. The City may, at its discretion, post regular recurring meetings of community-based organizations.
All events must be submitted using the City of Allen Community Calendar Event List Request online form.
